This morning's Winnipeg Free Press ran a story on EDS announcing Winnipeg as the location for a new service center (not sure if the link will be valid after today, but details are below).
From the article:
The new Manitoba centre will provide a variety of services to national and international customers including hardware and software support, financial services, back-office customer support and document processing and accounting and administrative services.
EDS has suggested that this center will create 1000 new jobs over the next five years, which for Winnipeg is pretty significant. This is a great announcement and a great boon to Winnipeg's tech community to see companies, especially large global established ones, that are willing to invest here.
