ISO Mounter for Vista 64?!

Sunday, January 13, 2008 1:02 AM

Seriously...this is SO FRUSTRATING! All I want is an ISO mount program for Vista...but it needs to handle Vista 64 bit, since that's what I'm running.

After scouring the web, I *thought* I found something on MagicISO...which I *thought* alluded to it working on V64...but apparently it doesn't: it just hangs after I specify an ISO to mount.

Anyone running Vista 64 have any success getting an ISO mount app to work?

[Update: Thanks to Scott Kuhl for pointing out that Daemon Tools does in fact have a 64 bit version of their ISO mounting app. There is some spywareish stuff it attempts to install, but you can unselect it right from the installer prompts (although it still tried to set my default IE 7 search engine as the Daemon Search). Check out Scott's comment for a link. Thanks Scott!]

I've been using Daemon Tools without any problem. Just make sure you download the 64 bit version. And read the steps carefully so you don't install any additional crapware.
