An Open Letter to Jeff Julian: Please Review My Expectations

Friday, December 14, 2007 4:58 AM

Recently, Jeff posted a picture of a cake he baked in celebration of Chris Williams overtaking Tariq in the GWB posting ratings.

How nice.

However, we must not ignore the inevitable: Just like Bret Hart who held the WWE championship with the Hart Foundation for so many years, so it will be with GWB that a Canadian will soon be atop the GWB rankings and all will realize that we're not just a hockey loving, beer chugging, toque wearing country of Tim Horton junkies...no doot aboot it.

So to Jeff, I want to give you fair warning on what I'll be expecting when I overtake Chris in the near future:

- Not one cake, but a cake for every one of the posts that I've made. Please alternate between Black Forest, DQ Ice Cream (be creative with the flavors), and Jeanie's (you may need to come to Winnipeg to understand that last one)

- I remember talk of changing the color scheme on the main feed. I think this would be a great opportunity to do that...and the easiest way would be to make my blog the default page at GWB's, and I'll graciously put a link up to where people can see the main feed...I mean, if they wanted to do that.

- I think as a nod to the achievements of Canadians on GWB, all Canadian bloggers should, in my honor, be given the option of displaying a Canadian flag icon next to their name on the ranking list...like the MVP icon currently showing. This may be a mute point though, as after I take the lead everyone on GWB will want to immigrate to Canada to be closer to what they perceive as their "Blogging King".

- Russell Ball will be banned from GWB for life unless he gives me proper respect by naming my posts as winners in his monthly blog awards he gives out.

That covers it for now...I'll let you know if I think of anything else. Enjoy top spot while you can Chris...pretty soon you'll be tappin' out to my blogging sharp-shooter!
