So my buddy bought a new laptop from Future Shop. He's not a power user with computers, so he was looking for some guidance from the sales staff. He wanted to get Office, but he wasn't sure which one he should get. The sales guy went to a service-tech and came back with this (tell me what's wrong with this statement):
"Because you have a trial version of Office that comes with your laptop, you can just buy an upgrade version of Office and it'll work."
I kid you not.
Luckily he didn't open the package yet so he'll be able to take it back, but remember when having sales-people meant having informed people that would aid the customer in making the right choice instead of just wanting to score the highest commission?
