For the longest time, MCAD and MCSD certifictions revolved around windows, web, and services. With the new certification structure, the door has been opened wide for developers of specific technologies to finally be recognized as specialists in their field; and that now includes mobile development!
Microsoft has two new Technology Specialist certifications:
Windows Mobile 5.0 - Application Developer
and
Windows Mobile Designing, Implementing, and Managing
This is great news for those of us that have been monkeying around with PPC applications for a while but were left feeling like the Goth middle child of the family.
