If Leo Laporte had died, he'd be rolling in his grave

I don't think I'll be watching G4TV anymore...I was hanging on to the glimmer of hope that things might swing back the way of TechTV, but that's not going to happen anytime soon. Its done...finished...fineto. I remember when I'd watch The Screen Savers with Leo and Patrick and actually learn something about technology.

This morning I watched a re-run of Attack of the Show where they had a segment called “In Your Pants” where Olivia talked with some other woman about how “size matters”. WTF?! When did this channel switch from at least pretending to be about technology to segments where a samurai guy slices a side of beef with his sword (also happened in the episode...I kid you not)?

Look, I have no problem with G4TV on its own...I just really miss the old-school TechTv attitude of technology-first, entertainment second. I think that what guys like Kevin Rose are doing with Diggnation is fantastic...and maybe that's where things are moving: those that are passionate about technology using the various mediums available to communicate.

So now which channel should I fill that slot with...hmm...Documentary channel maybe?...
