D'Arcy-Ed Day 4, Web Standards, and User Group Best Practices

Thursday, June 15, 2006 11:03 AM

Adam Cogan has a great article about proper website navigation and some rules that should be applied. You can read the article here.

I'm going to be doing a webcast with Chris Williams on June 28th on User Group Best Practices. Hopefully Donald Belcham from the Edmonton .NET User Group will be able to join in and offer some insights on what his group has done recently to rejuvinate the Edmonton .NET community.

D'Arcy-Ed is winding down (or up depending on whether I want to take some of the new-found knowledge learned about “the project” home to...ahem...”review” over the weekend ;) ). Today they offered us a fantastic East-Indian buffet! Nuthin' says luvin' like butta-chicken...happy belly. My co-luncher decided to pay for his lunch (the conference didn't cover the cost of lunch for IT people, just developers)...best tell off by a restaurant cash person ever:

IT Guy: It appears that the 'OK' button on your debit machine is worn out.
(He presses it again and it goes through)
Snooty Hostess: Hmm...maybe its your finger that is worn out and not the button.

OH NO SHE DIDN'T! (yeah...she did)
