Steak Marinade

Monday, April 17, 2006 8:07 AM

While I'm waiting for my DNN module to finish installing, I thought I'd post the steak marinade for those of you as pumped about cooking meat on an open fire as I am.

In a container, mix:

- enough red wine to cover the bottom plus a bit more
- 2 - 3 Tblsp of olive oil
- 2 - 3 tblsp of balsamic vinegar
- 3 tblsp of chopped garlic
- 2 - 3 tblsp of Montreal Steak Spice rub
- 2 - 3 tblsp of montreal steak spice
- 2 squeezes of HP sauce
- 2 shakes of Worstershire sauce
- 3 squirts your favorite bbq sauce
- 3 - 5 shakes soy sauce
- teriyaki/dry garlic/honey garlic sauce (as much as you want...or none)
- Salt/Pepper (cracked, not the table stuff)
- Seasoning Salt

Mix together in a container, then put the steaks in and start massaging the marinade into them (I usually poke a few holes with a knife in). Put in the fridge for at least a few hours.

Once you put the steaks on the grill but DON'T THROW AWAY THE MARINDADE! Chop up some mushrooms and fry them up. Once they've cooked down a bit, pour the leftover marinade over them and heat to boiling (to kill off any bad stuff).

Good times. Module done installing...
