Verizon Online Speed Test
Lately I had been experiencing extremely slow speed overout DSL, so this morning I called Verizon to see if they could help me figure out why. I had run several speed tests from DSLReports.com and my connection speeds were horrible...ranging from 80 to 90% worse than their average Verizon test. The Verizon tech had me do all the usual stuff (empty my browser cache, reboot the modem and my computer, etc), and when I wans not seeing any change, I finally asked if they had a line speed test I could ......

Yes, DataPresenter is a WPF Grid too!!
Microsoft has been a great partner with Infragistics working very closely with us during the development of our WPF controls, and giving us opportunities to demonstrate the work we are doing at events like PDC and TechEd. The large scale demos (and honestly much of what we have also shown) have focused on the Carousel View of the control, usually because its a control that provides a lot of "wow" factor and really shows off the animation and 3D power of WPF. While that's cool, many times developers ......

Expression toolset lineup changes
Microsoft announced some changes in the Expression lineup of tools today. The first huge announcement is that Expression Web is now shipping! The second big announcement is the renaming iof Expression interactive Designer to Expression Blend. Blend is a huge step forward in the world of WPF design tools, and is much more stable than any of the prior EID releases. We at Infragistics have has the opportunity to play with some of the early builds and I must say that Blend is a huge improvement. It also ......

Dell makes Precision M65 drivers/apps for Vista available
If you have a Dell Precision Workstation and are running Windows Vista, Dell has finally started ro release official drivers and software for it. One of the best things is that you can now get the Quickset utility for Vista, however you will have to update the BIOS before you can install it. My install went very smooth, and so far I have had no problems using the app. Now I just have to wait for Dell to release Vista compatible printer drivers ......

Tenacious D Live
Friday a few of us went to see Tenacious D live at Madison Square Garden. While I am not a huge fan, I do have their first album in a light rotation in my LaunchCast station, and the tickets were pretty cheap. That said, I had no idea what to expect in a live concert from Jack Black and KG. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised how good the concert was. Part acoustic jam session, part rock concert, part rock theater, the concert started with JB and KG "waking up" on the couch in their living ......
