For the real busy individuals who do not get enough time to study a particular technology that they want to for work
or you want to get a certification and not have enough time to study for it though having the experience for it. DO THIS !   :)

Sign yourself in to a Good Audio or Video Based Learning website. Download the videos for that particular technology and go through it on a Free Day. That's it, you are done in a weekend !

As simple as that.

Plus if you can find a mentor it will be a huge bonus as s/he will keep you on track on your journey and not let you slack off. And give you lots of pointers on how to succeed in the industry.

Good Luck.

I like the suggestions and I think that it is more efficient that just book learning. I think the better point is that if it is really important you need to make the time.

i agree with you Tim. In our daily lives there are so many things we want to do or so many things we aspire to do.

It is really important to nudge them down them down to the core basics, what we cannot live without.

And after that its simple, just make one definitive move daily to achieve the goal.

@Sunil: There are many out there and one should choose the provider which suites his/her objective. I will list down a few which I think are not bad.

People please feel free to jot down your preferences or Learning Aids and I will put them into a separate post as a list to refer for future.

Free Audio/Video Learning:
1. Microsoft Virtual Academy (microsoftvirtualacademy.com) - couple of courses i know here will help you pass exams 480 and 481 towards MCSD Windows store apps
2. http://www.asp.net/mvc/videos - Great videos on MVC

Paid Audio/Video Learning:
1. Pluralsight.com - These help with conceptual understanding of concepts for work, not tied with passing certifications. However one of their courses 'Building Applications with ASP.NET MVC 4' helped me to fill in the gaps in my MVC working knowledge to pass the 70-486.
2.Others = Cbt, Vtc, AppDev, Train Signal, Total training, etc.

Best Regards.

I am luck in that my company is very flexible for learning. I got a one year subscription to TrainSignal any courses I want, even new ones as they come online. And I get to spend about a day a week in training at my own pace.
