Hey all,

For those who keep an eye on my blog (not many, I'm sure), VFW eMembership (emem.vfw.org) is live, as of March 15.

It's a website that allows for VFW Members to renew their Annual Dues online. Previously, we had to snail-mail dues notices to our members and wait for them to send their money to us. Very time consuming, very manual process. With eMemebrship, the process is fully automated. I'm impressed, at least.

Thanks for reading.

Sir,

URL means uniform resource locator, and it's essentially a web address. When posting a comment, you can list a website of you want to advertise one.
If you, or anyone else have any questions on using eMembership, send an email to eMembership@vfw.org, and we will be happy to assist. You can also go to eMembership (http://emem.vfw.org), click on Contact Us, complete the short form and Submit it.

I am a recent member of a post that has had some internal problems. I have been approached about the quartermaster position. I have the ability to carry out the position except for a possible deployment. I have been told the commander could execute my role, but this seems a conflict of interest. Am I wrong? I really would like to hear from current quartermasters and their opinion on all of the issues they are facing. I could go on and on but am really looking for someone to expain and debate the issues with me. Thank you for your time

All of those with questions about membership should really contact your Post Quartermaster.

I am QM at Post 5691 and have access to "quartermaster tools" that allow me to administer the new and existing members of my post. I'm sure that your QM can help with these type of problems.

Paying dues, membership cards, renewing, address changes, etc. can all be handled by the QM.

I am 63 an have been a member for 39yr. I have paid $975. in dues. Now to become a life member it will cost me $290. I think we shold have the 39yrs. of dues count for ? some thing. A new member pays the very same amount. ??????
