Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe I have found my new favorite system utility. It's called Spotlight on Windows by Quest Software and it's completely free.

Spotlight gives you a full dashboard of charts and graphs detailing virtually every aspect of your system's performance. It's all very high-tech looking, which is nice. The application can monitor the local machine or it can connect to a remote server.

One of my favorite features of Spotlight is its extensive process explorer. You can view a complete list of all running processes, services, and system drivers. Clicking on a process displays a panel with information such as the services owned by the process, the user that the process belongs to, the total time that the process has been running, along with the normal stats such as CPU usage and such. In that same panel, you can view the process' history in the form of line graphs. Spotlight also displays all threads owned by the process along with their current state and a breakdown of resource usage for each.

It amazes me that such an incredible program is being distributed as freeware. I highly recommend Spotlight if you're the type of person that loves to have every morsel of information at your fingertips.
