Next ArcReady Event - "Architecting for the User Experience"

I'm pleased to announce that the next ArcReady tour scheudle is set and ready to go. Our subject for this go-around is "Architecting for the User Experience" and our guest speaker will be Chris Bernard, UX Evangelist for Microsoft. Read all about it and register at www.arcready.com. Remember, this is a free event and, besides the great content, there will be food and some great giveaways, include a copy of Expression Web.

We're really excited about the program we're putting together for this tour. We're going to have a great discussion around why technical architects should care about user experience and provide some practical guidance on how to actually accomplish this.

First, a big thank you to everyone who attended the first ever ArcReady tour during the past month. It was great to see such a big turnout for a new program.

The decks used during the event are now posted and available for download on the ArcReady web site.

Finally, be sure and get registered for the next ArcReady which will be "Architecting for the User Experience." Our featured speaker this time around will be Chris Bernard, a User Experience Evangelisy with Microsoft. We're working with Chris to come us with some great content, so pick your city on the ArcReady home page and get registered.

Traditionally, Microsoft has done a pretty good job reaching out to the developer community around the world. I mean, just look at MSDN -- an entire site devoted to developer information and technical readiness.

But what about software architects. Where's the love for them? Enter ArcReady.

This is a new series of community events geared toward current and aspiring software architects. If you are currently working in the role of an architect, think you're working in the role or think someday you would like to be an architect, ArcReady can help you get the knowledge and skills you need to excel. This will not be the sterotypical architecture session with just a lot of "slideware" and high-level concepts. We'll start with those, but then dive deeper into how these principles are implemented in the real world.

The topic for out first event is What Does an Architect Do Anyway? and it will be presented by Tim Landgrave, Managing Partner of Composable Systems, Inc. and Microsoft MVP for Solutions Architecture. After Tim's talk, we'll take a deeper dive into the many resources available to help architects do their jobs better and more efficiently.

ArcReady's maiden voyage begins this month throughout the central region and continues into March. Here is a schedule with the cities in which we'll be presenting:
