Apparently SQL Server now has a new logo.

It's interesting... I think they felt left out at the launch events with Visual Studio 2008 and Windows Server 2008 when they were the only product without a logo.

I'm not quite sure what it's meant to be, but to my eye it seems to have been influenced a bit by the Kookaburra :)

What do you think this new logo is?

# re: A new Logo for SQL Server

I *really* need to get out of technology and in to marketing.... The first reason given for the new logo -->
Strengthen our connection with customers and partners (find more details here -> http://blogs.technet.com/dataplatforminsider/archive/2008/06/04/new-logo-for-sql-server-2008.aspx)

I mean, it's making me feel a whole lot more connected.... Personally, I like the Kookaburra better than the "Dynamic Grid Symbol' :P (but being an Aussie, i'm prob biased).

I thought if you turn the logo on its side, there's a hint of the Opera House. 6/9/2008 12:35 PM | KenL
