Apple bits....
I have to admit, I was pretty excited for Intel when Apple announced it would begin shipping boxes using their Core Duo processor. I think their marketing around the change is silly. In fact, it made me laugh out loud when I saw it. The idea that, after years of claiming the PowerPC chip is infinitely better than the Intel processors driving PCs and linux boxes around the planet, Apple is somehow, “setting the Intel free” by using these chips, can only be described as clever spin. Distributed processing interests me quite a bit. Stardust@home interests me not only because it relies upon human intelligence to filter data, but also because of it's seemingly naive algorithm.

Python and Ruby on Rails
After speaking with some friends and recently learning about a new .NET Python Implementation*, I've resolved to take some time experimenting with these two languages in 2006: Python - a beta 1 of Iron Python is out and may be downloaded here.
