Subscription is central to understanding BizTalk Server 2004. In many ways, it is a fairly straightforward and simple mechanism, but there are subtleties. This article explains the fundamental features of subscription, and explores its implementation within the BizTalk engine. In a future article, I will cover additional features of the subscription mechanism such as ordered delivery, convoying, message predicates etc.
