Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

On the off chance anyone hit www.ILoveVB.NET tonight around 11:30CST, you may have seen some Google Ads showing up... for about 5 minutes I guess.

They're currently turned off again. Honestly I haven't decided if I like them or not (regardless of whether they generate any money.)  I'm really not thrilled with how they look on the site and I'm even less thrilled with the "relevant" content they are showing. (The "Free VB Code" stuff was fine, the "Get A Date" stuff was not.)

I'm pretty sure some/all of this is configurable back at the Google end of things, but right now I don't have the time (or energy) to fool with it, so I'm leaving them off until I do.

However, this is where you come in, dear readers. Are any of you running Google Ads on any of your various sites / projects? If so, have you found it to be a worthwhile endeavor?  How hard is it to customize what shows up? Any horror stories or happy endings? Let me hear about them.

Are you kidding?! That's TOTALLY relevent! I mean seriously, everybody...and I mean EVERYBODY...knows that chicks dig guys who use case-sensitive language, curly braces, and semi-colons. "Get A Date" is absolutely relevent in helping the throngs of single VB developers find the love they long so much to have, but is always out of reach once the ladies find you Option Strict isn't on by default.
