My DirectTV / TiVO is completely hosed and has been for a couple weeks now.  The repair guy won't be showing up until 12/18 (lucky me.)

So I missed the Spike Video Game Awards on Sunday, and I'll likely miss the upcoming reruns for the foreseeable future.

Did ANYONE happen to record these? I would really really like to watch them. Drop me a line if you did.

Thanks!

Be glad you missed them. Absolutely horrible, and they let the twits from Gamecock ruin the chance for the Game of the Year winner to give a speech.

Well, I'm recording this Sunday on my DVR. So if you can wait until you fly out in January, we can watch it then.

I have to agree with hearless_...I caught it last night on Spike and it was really dismal...I mean, previous incarnations of this show have been veiled advertisements for upcoming games mixed in with frivilous 'awards', but this one was even moreso.

It was extra classy to have the winners names air-brushed onto models bodies instead of doing the typical envelope thing, and I LOVED hearing some odd large man talk about how he liked playing video games and masurbating, then talking about how he could be found lying on his couch with a controller in one hand and a sticky stomach...from a spilled coke, what were WE thinking?!...yeah...CLASSY.

There were some highlights:
- The Foo Fighters
- Kid Rock
um...

Seriously...the only highlights for me were the musical acts. I went to bed before watching the entire thing, so I haven't seen these Gamecock tools ruin the GofT speech yet...but I'm sure I'll file that under CLASSY for this as well.
