Chris G. Williams Beware: I mix tech and personal interests here.

Aside from Jeff, is anyone here using Vista Beta 2 on their Tablet PC?  I'm really tempted, but I'm also being a bit of a coward at the moment.

I'm curious to hear what (if anything) other folks have experienced with that particular combination.

Let me know.

I have it running on my Toshiba M200 and we have had it running on a Fujitsu St5020. Once there you won't want to go back. Reco is improved and trainable. You can finally tell the reco engine how you make your letters and it will learn. ping me at of you have questions.

I use it on my desktop machine (2GB, amd dualcore 4400+, raid0) and on my m200 (1.5GB ram).

The performance-difference between the two makes it kind of frustrating to use it on the tablet, so I'm considering switching the tablet back to XP for the moment. Doing that is easy, btw. I just bought another 2.5" harddisk to install Vista on. These are not that expensive anymore. And with a usb-casing for the old one, you can still get at your data.

I am running it on my Toshiba m200 with partial Aero Glass and it is - in a word - amazing. The new TIP and handwriting recognition is SO accurate it is scary. I know mileage will vary, but for me it has been a pleasure. If only the rest of the OS ran so well ...
