Apparently the adage is true that a "few bad apples spoil the barrel."  Recently, photos of Penn State students dressed as victims of the Virginia Tech shooting on 04/16/2007.   I want you to know that not all Penn Staters share the laissez faire attitude of these individuals.  What happened at Virginia Tech is a tragedy in the truest sense of the word.  It is off-limits from parody, and satire.  And it is definitely not okay to poke fun at the situation.

That being said, the situation is also not one requiring any "action" be taken.  This is an example of extremely poor judgement.  The university is not responsible for this action.  I can assure you that the PSU alum I know do NOT share the sentiment of the students involved in the offense.

Penn State has well over 50,000 students worldwide.  Please don't let the "few bad apples" spoil the broad range of Penn State students who support the Hokies.  Don't forget the students at Penn State who all wore maroon & orange in support of the Hokies last spring.  When it comes to the tragedy of 04/16/2007, we truly are all Hokies.

Today, We Are All Hokies.
