I think it's safe to say that most people, not just technologists or managers, but people in general, are “aware” of the failure rate of technology projects. I'm sure if you're reading this you've also read (or at least heard of) the now famous (notorious?) Chaos Report published by The Standish Group in 1994. If you haven't, let me summarize. Well....it's been quite a few months. Since just before Thanksgiving I have been going through some....life changes. No not that kind! I don't have the right chromosonal make-up. Anyway, in addition to the hectic work schedule, I have moved to an apartment. I am still in the Roanoke area (living in Salem). I feel, after this weekend, I am finally getting settled.
