Microsoft Gamefest: You have to be kidding me




Do you recognize that image? I just got it in an email updating me with the latest itinerary! Yep, if you haven't guessed it yet I'll hit you over the head with it. In a very amazing turn of events which I can't share here ([off the record] I will say that Bill Gates is a tiger in the sack ;) [/off the record]), I'M GOING TO MICROSOFT GAMEFEST!

Is there anyone else from the GWB community attending? Anyone that has attended in the past that can offer up some tips and advice for the conference? Anyone that's so insanely jealous of me that they feel like their stomach is going to explode? ;)

This Sunday is fast approaching! Maybe someday I can share the full story, all I can say for now is that Bob the Fish played a critical role...

You must work for an awesome company and have an understanding and forward thinking manger to allow you to attend an event like this that, at least on the surface, seems to have nothing to do with your current job. I hope you enjoy the conference and find some new and unique ways to apply game like interfaces to accounting software!!

I do work for a VERY awesome company. Closest thing I've ever had to paradise so far. The conference did indeed have a lot to offer for our software so I think it was great move. There's quite a bit that games do well, especially in delivering information quickly and at a glance that standard software would benefit from imitating.

Thanks! It was such an awesome contest all around and I was very excited and proud to have been picked as the winner.

Also glad to hear about your interest in what I have to say about Gamefest. There was sure enough said there to write about. Guess I'd better get cracking!
