Community not surprised reformed mass-murderer now a Software Developer

Barry Hingleton is a middle aged man, living a life that would not shock most people. He has a steady job as a software developer for a medium sized company and lives alone in a well maintained house. What would surprise many people is that Barry Hingleton once served time in prison for killing thirteen people in a string of murders one summer 20 years ago.

When friends and neighbors were questioned about how they feel about having a mass murderer living near them, many seemed unconcerned and not surprised.

Betty Garnel had this to say, "Yeah, he's a software developer right? Plays them computer games and stuff? I can see it. He's nice, but definitely got killer written all over him.". Completely unfazed that he's a killer, primarily because she had already labeled him as one. This reaction was typical for most member of the community.

Many in the quiet street that Barry lives on were quick to point out that they've seen Barry's friends come over some Friday nights to play Dungeons and Dragons so they knew he had it in him.

Gary Moliphenux said, "He asked me once if I wanted to come over sometime to play some D&D campaign he'd been working on, but I'm smarter than that, heck I get the news just like everyone else. I wasn't going to be found in the woods, tied up a gagged with a red ball in my mouth, so I just laughed and told him that just wasn't my thing"

Barry Hingleton has served his time and it seems like the quiet community he lives in, warned in advance by this man's hobbies that he most likely a killer, most are content to just keep their eye on him, play it safe around him and go on about their business.

We can all take a lesson from this wise community. Be on the alert for D&D players and gamers in your neighborhood and play it safe.

Nice one, G! I'm loving this. "he's definitely got killer written all over him." Awesome article, dude! And yeah, I've always been wary of D&D players.

Ummm yeah ok. THIS guy may be a killer, but D&D players are not people you need to be wary of. I'd be more worried about a postman than some dude who plays D&D.
