I often complain, berate, and otherwise just trash technology companies for the never ending line of glitchy products they produce and I buy. It dawned on me today that I don't give enough props when they are due. This is usually because when something works so well I just take it for granted. Well, I'm going to fix that today for at least one thing.
As I was ordering a 2 GB memory upgrade for my HP Pavilion zt3010us I realized.... “I love this thing”. I've owned this laptop for about 2 years. It is on for about 12 -18 hours per day and it goes everywhere with me. It also doubles as a portable movie screen for my kids on vacation. About 6 months ago I replaced my hard drive as the original had taken a beating from me. Again taking the laptop for granted I've been rather hard on it.
So when I replaced the drive, I jazzed it up to a 7200rpm 2.5“ drive which goes up to 60 gig is by Hitachi, available from www.zipzoomfly.com. - http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=100519-1. The upgrade went off without a hitch and the laptop's performance increased (obviously). I'm expecting the memory upgrade to be the same way.
This will most likely be my last upgrade for this old guy as I have pretty much brought it to its maximum capacity. But it should get me through one more year until I buy a Windows Vista compatible machine.
So here it goes... Good job HP on a very good product {chaz golf claps}.
