McAfee to pony up for costs of dealing with their SNAFU…

Well, it’s a great to see that McAfee is standing up to help out, at least financially (and technically too) to reimburse those users affected by their lack of QA on a release of virus signatures.

Custom Error, 404, 401 pages in SharePoint…

Geez – do you even do basic testing?
You’d think that a “real” commercial software vendor would at least run a barrage of tests validating updates – ANY updates – before pushing out those updates. Well, McAfee has done it again. This one, well it just shuts you down… False positives on a core Windows file. https://kc.mcafee.com/corpo... http://support.microsoft.co... Usually, if I get a PC with McAfee offered for “free” usually, I either wipe or uninstall. That product is the work of the devil. ......
