Blog Aid For Katrina

Today is the so-called Blog Aid/Blog For Relief/Insert name here Hurricane Katrina relief day across the blogosphere.

Basically, bloggers are asking their readers to contribute to various charities.

Today, I encourage you to contribute to Catholic Charities USA.  We hear all about New Orleans and Mississippi, but Katrina’s wrath was not limited to those places.  Catholic Charities is also helping people in Baton Rouge and Florida, actually everywhere in the Gulf Coast.

If you have made a contribution, please note it here and reference this blog.

You can also make your presence known among the blog community by registering at TruthLaidBear's Blog Aid page and adding a reciprocal link to its Flood Aid Page, and then doing the same thing sending an email (pundit@instapundit.com) to Glenn Reynolds' Instapundit blog.

Read here and scroll down a bit to learn more about the procedural aspect of this.

I ruthlessly plagiarized and edited the post at CFR for my own.  Hopefully he won’t mind.

I have quite a few comments to make on several things, but this will be my only blog entry today, so it will stay at the top.  Do contribute whatever you can, if not to Catholic Charities, then to the charity of your choice.  But make sure you specify that your donation is to go to Katrina relief.
