Design Patterns: Dependency Injection -- MSDN Magazine, September 2005

I think someone at Microsoft read a book and discovered the phrase “dependency injection”.  It’s in quite a few of their articles lately.  Despite it’s apparent “buzzwordiness”, it’s a useful tool.  Check out Griffin Caprio’s article here.

DI was just added to the EntLib by the MS P&P group. One of my colleagues got to talk to the P&P group a couple of weeks ago. When he asked why we should dump Spring.Net/StructureMap/Castle for the new thing in EntLib it turned out the P&P group had no idea that there were existing solutions. 8/29/2005 9:30 AM | Jeremy
