Hello!

Wow, it has been quite a rush over the past few months since joining Microsoft.  I’ve received a lot of e-mails from people asking me how things are going.  It’s been great, but I will say that I’ve missed the regular communication I’ve had with many of my friends from the WI .NET Users Group and WI Windows Users Group amongst others.

I’ve learned that time management is the most important skill to master in the world.  When you have more than any human can accomplish on your plate, prioritization and time management really makes all the difference.  I’m happy to know that my investment of time over the past few years in various programs to learn these skills is paying off.  All of my colleagues are facing challenges similar to my own in terms of managing priorities.

I am spending most of my time these days working with partners and the rest of my time working with customers around information worker solutions.  Information Worker (IW) is all about all what Microsoft is doing regarding helping people, teams, and organizations to be more productive.  If you want a view into what this entails, please visit http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/execmail/2005/05-19newworldofwork.asp.  Here you can watch a fairly recent web cast of a Bill Gates speech on IW and download a very important and informative document about the “New World of Work”.

For those of you who have been asking about my family – thank you.  We’re doing great and having fun.  You can check out our family pictures at http://spaces.msn.com/members/briantinkler.

Take care!
