Geeks With Blogs

Wow!  That is the best word to describe the incredible day Wisconsin had relative to .NET, just this past Saturday.  We had 400 people attend a massive event in a very nice hotel (Thanks, Radisson Hotel Milwaukee West!) The hotel and their staff were amazing.  A special thank you goes out to Katy Lederer, Sales & Catering Manager there for her outstanding support.

The excitement has begun to spread around the blogosphere already, but I think it’s important that I send out some additional thoughts.

Some of the posts I’ve seen so far include:

1.      Chris Pietschmann -

2.      Gerry Heidenreich -

3.      Scott Isaacs -

I’m sure there will be others coming soon about this event, considering the incredible speakers we had…

Rocky Lhotka -

Scott Guthrie -

Rob Howard -

Chris Mayo – no blog L

Jason Beres -

The event went flawlessly.  We had perfectly professional A/V support from CAVCOMM, the same company Microsoft uses for all of their MSDN/TechNet/TS2 events around the Midwest.  They did a great job – thanks to Ed Kowalski from CAVCOMM for his superior support!

I also need to thank a great crew on the Executive Committee of the WI .NET UG for all of their support and help to make this event the biggest .NET UG event in history.  Thanks Guys!

Additionally, our sponsors made this event possible and we had 14 of them!  Sponsors were broken down into 2 tiers of support, including…

Platinum Sponsors

·         Microsoft

·         International .NET Association (INETA)

·         Serlio Software

·         Inacom Information Systems

·         New Resources Corporation

Gold Sponsors

·         Mortgagebot

·         Whyte, Hirschboeck, Dudek, S.C.

·         SafeNet Consulting

·         Compuware

·         Technology Consulting Corporation

·         Berbee

·         Centare Group

·         Oochie Web Hosting

·         SilverTrain

·         InfoCor

Presentations will be posted within the next 2-3 weeks on the URL site listed below.  We also video-taped the presentations and plan to make them available on DVD for a nominal cost.  More information will be coming shortly.  If you’d like to reserve a copy today, please e-mail and let us know your interest.  Thanks!

Sorry I didn't know about this - I would have included it in the latest INETA newsletter article about all of these great community driven events going on.

This may have been one of the best events I've attended in the area. It was definitely worthwhile - I'm not one to get out of bed before noon on a Saturday but this was a worthy exception. Kudos to Brian and WI-INETA, and thanks to the visiting dignitaries that shared their knowledge.
