If truth be told, I couldn’t fill enough on this site to tell everyone why my wife is so cool. However, in addition to being smart, beautiful, the mother of my children, having understanding beyond all women, and just a really great friend…this post is about different reasons for thinking she’s so cool.
So, as any good geek does, I stay up way past the rest of my family doing various computer related things. At some point in the morning – usually around 1 or 2 am, I find myself ready for another meal. So, while this may not sound all that great to some of you, I have to tell you this is absolutely the best late-night food to eat. My wife buys me (yes, she does all the grocery shopping – we’re somewhat traditional in many ways) two things that I love and she does so without me saying a word. She just knows that I love them and she makes sure to always have a constant supply on hand. So, what could that be?
Well, my favorite item #1 is Banquet Fried Chicken dinner. It’s simply amazing. It must remind me of my growing up in Kansas and having that good southern home cooking. Item #2 is White Castle burgers. In fact, I’m mowing down on some White Castle burgers right now. Living in Madison, WI, we are White Castle deprived. So, it ends up being the store-bought ones, but they’re a lot more convenient for late night cravings than driving to Chicago for a burger.
Anyway, the point is every good geek needs his nutrition or at least some food to chow on. Thank God I have my wife to make sure I get my geek nourishment.
