sing along now..."I Am Plug-In Man!"...du da du da du dah dah dah
(Yeah, it helps if you enjoy Ozzy Ozzbourne’s Iron Man song…) I’ve had a bunch of recent conversations with friends, colleagues, Microsofties, and others lately about my dependency on plug-ins. Most prevalently – Outlook plug-ins. I decided rather than send the various e-mails I was requested to send I’d simply post here and point them to it. So, first, before I go into some big list of links that may or may not matter a hill of beans to you, I’ll post my rationale ......

How cool is this? - Thanks Heather :-)
As a newbie in the blog world (about 3 weeks now), I’m extremely impressed by the community attitude and support of the blog community. As an active user group leader and INETA leader, I’ve seen what good community can do. However, my understanding has jumped a few levels after reading a recent blog post from Heather Hamilton of Microsoft about good resume writing. No, please don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love where I’m working and who I’m working with and have no ......

Trying a blog post w/InfoPath (Thanks Marty!)
I'm trying a cool new way to blog using InfoPath. As a geeky non-geek (self description, yes), I find myself sometimes in a situation where I need simplicity in blogging. I'm new to this whole process and always looking to try new things. I'm pretty happy with NewsGator, but wanted to try using InfoPath after reading about it in Marty Garrins blog. Thanks Marty! You too - might want to give it a try. Let me know what you think. Download the InfoPath form at: http://weblogs.asp.net/guow... ......

Beliefs and such...
Hey – Thanks Casey… http://www.brains-n-brawn.c... Actually, I don’t think we’re too far apart. While I haven’t yet signed up for cryogenic processing upon my physical death, I too have hopes for continued life. I’m a member of the Foresight Institute and keep up to date on most of the latest trends to live past the “worm infestation” you are anticipating. The article you ......

The whole God thing recently blogged by Casey...
Hey All, Well, it appears that my boss was right that it isn’t a good thing to mix personal blogging with company business. Why? Hey, don’t preach to me, I know about all the benefits of corporate blogging and I agree with them. I guess there are just some subjects that can kick your ass if you aren’t more disciplined than I am. So, here’s one case in point… http://www.brains-n-brawn.c... ......

Serlio is looking for quality people!
Hello all! I just wanted to pass out that Serlio Software is experiencing rapid growth and we’re looking for highly talented .NET architects and engineers to help us fulfill all our business customer needs. We focus exclusively on .NET enterprise architecture and core development work. We don’t play any of that “we need low-end developer staff augmentation people” kind of game. If you have what it takes to work for the best, then send me an e-mail at brian.tinkler@serlio.com ......

Cool tech times...Geekswithblogs.net
I’m happy to be using a blogging tool for the “not-so-technically-i... of us out there. Thanks to Jeff Julian, I’m now using his Geeks With Blogs blogging site. He also recommended I use NewsGator, since I’m no coder and spend 99.9% of my life inside of Outlook. I’ll have to say, of the 20 or so Outlook plug-ins I rely on every day, this is one of my favorite after only one day of playing with it. Thanks Jeff! ......

It snowed like crazy today in WI, but there are benefits...

I was at a Microsoft conference all day today (MSDN event), but that didn't stop my wife and daughter from making the most of the day.  They played all afternoon in the snow and had some majestic creations to show for it by the time I got home.
