Well as far as speaking goes, I am done for the year (that I know of). This year I spoke at: Cincinnati-Dayton (Dayton-Cincinnati) Code Camp 2007 Findlay Users Group Dayton Users Group Day of .NET in Ann Arbor DevLink 2007 in Nashville Heartland Developer Conference in Omaha I'm starting 2008 off with speaking at CodeMash in Sandusky, Ohio. Those last two entries I thought got posted a few weeks ago. Guess I they didn't publish since I wasn't connected to the Internet at the time. Goes to show, I need to spend more time blogging so things don't get put off so long. My apologies to the organizers of the events--Your praise is just getting spread out this way
OK. I am getting to this much sooner than I did for the DevLink conference, but I have the time since I am going to be waiting in the airport for the next few hours. Kudos to Philip Wolfe and Joe Olsen for putting together a high-quality conference for the central states. I met people from all over including North Dakota, Iowa and other states as well. There were a lot of other people that helped behind the scenes to pull this off for sure, I just don't know who they were by name--but I know you...
OK. It's about a week later, but I wanted to be sure to go on record about DevLink in Nashville. John Kellar and team put on a great show. Let me explain: It started with the speaker dinner on Thursday night. The food was great but the dessert was better. What floored me most was the HANDWRITTEN thank you note! It goes a long way to not just get another email that says "thanks" and you are just one of many that have been CC'd. If the DevLink team makes one thing a tradition--keep the thank you note...
