Quick Tip: Keyboard Shortcut in Tooltip

I didn't realize that this option was off by default, but if you want to see the keyboard shortcut for a toolbar item, just follow these steps:

Before:

Change:

Right-click toolbar, click "Customize..."

After:

Hey, I'm one of the developers from SlickEdit who wrote the Gadgets you blogged about before. Just wanted to mention that one of the gadgets actually does this kind of thing for you. It's called the Command Spy, and it shows you all of the command that you've run and what their keyboard shortcuts are. This applies to menus, toolbar buttons, context menus, any command. BTW thanks for listing gadgets in your blog... very much appreciated!
