Brian Scarbeau Insights from a seasoned Computer Science Trainer
Well, I just got back from the Peabody Hotel   which was the site for the MVP Welcome Event sponsored by Microsoft Corporation. It was a good chance for many of us to see our MVP lead and to see other MVP's that we have been in contact with but have never met.

Connie Rennie & Nestor Portillo from Microsoft gave us a hearty welcome and Nestor outlined the benefits of the MVP program and some changes for the up coming year. One thing that I learned very quickly after the presentation was how passionate these MVP's were. They had some tough questions for Nestor and he did his best to answer some concerns these folks had.

In any event, it gave Microsoft and opportunity to get a roomful of MVP's together and to communicate with one another. The afternoon session was a round table and I had an opportunity to chat with some Florida MVP's and with our devfish evangelist Joe Healy.

Tech Ed starts tomorrow and International Drive was packed today with tourists driving around. Wet n Wild was packed with visitors.

I volunteered to talk to folks about IE 7 so if you happen to see me, say  "Hello".

It should be a fun week!
