Brian Scarbeau Insights from a seasoned Computer Science Trainer

So instead of blogging about teaching asp.net with my students I'm blogging about the weather. It's bad here in Orlando, FL. The winds are very loud and strong and the rain is pounding on my roof.

My queen palm which stands around 15 feet is leaning to its side. This tree has survived three hurricanes much worse than this one but the ground is full of water which caused the tree to weaken. I only hope that is all the damage I'll have during Wilma.

Schools, government offices and some businesses are closed for the day as we all wait for this storm to pass through. The temperature has dropped to the 60's and it suppose to be in the 40's tonight. We don't even see the 40's at night in the winter!!

Floridians are use to these storms and are prepared. We gassed up the cars, have water and food ready etc. I purchased a generator after the hurricane season of last year and so far I do not have to use it because power is on.

This is a fast moving storm so tomorrow will be a different day and I can resume my blogging about teaching asp.net to high school students.
