Ahh the first post.

Well let's get the basics out of the way. My name is Brandon and I'm from beautiful upstate NY. I've studied at the University of Rochester and I'm currently taking time off of school to get some work experience and persue a business venture.  For the moment I work for a small medical practice in Gloversville (about 45 minutes west of Albany) performing a variety of tasks; the most interesting of which is to design a custom Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.  I'm also working on maintenance/support contracts with some other local doctors, and have sold some hardware additionally.  I'm also studying for my MCSE exams, and will be taking the first of those very soon.

One of my goals is to at least explore the potential for my own Medical Systems business, intially serving the western capital district.  Depending on how that goes, I may persue additional schooling locally.

At the moment though I'm staying pretty busy, and learning a lot through my experiences every day.

I plan to use this blog to document my work and any related ideas/discoveries I come up with.  Of course, I'm also interested in discussing virtually any technology related items... and there are always plenty of those to go around :)
