Announcing our Book Club User Group integration
Because a book club has more to offer than just an online chat and discussion base, I decided to integrate it into my local user group. Along with the new site I just announced, I plan to build a custom module for our new user group site (based on DNN) to allow users to sign up with the book club and converse in person and online. I hope to see some interaction with our group and when I announced it, a lot of ears perked up. If you would like to try a similar model with your user group, please contact ......

Building a book club from scratch
We have reached the limitations of our portal. It would take as much development into custom modules, skins, etc to get the site up to par with the dreams and aspirations of the club. We need to offer more integration services for other sites, better integration with forum and knowledge base products, and more metrics for tracking what readers are involved. They are easy to work with, inexpensive, and very performant. If you are a current user or plan to sign up with this book club, your email address and password is your login credentials for the forums system. Stay tune for more on the knowledge base tool and our usage of it. http://forums.dotnetbookclu... ......

Understanding Web Services Specifications and the WSE by Jeannine Hall Gailey
Kirk Allen Evans talks about Understanding Web Services Specifications and the WSE by Jeannine Hall Gailey and I must say this does look like a great book to have. I have ordered my copy from the New/Used bin on and if I agree with Kirk's opinion, you will probably see it as the Book Of The Month pretty soon. Anyone else interested in reading this ......

Brand New Skin
Tonight I launched a new skin for the .NET Book Club. Let me know what you think. It is suprisingly easy to create a skin for .NET Nuke. The more I use that product, the more I like it.
