I've just got round to looking at Liquid XML 2014. I have been tasked with investigating W3C XML Schema 1.1 standard (XSD 1.1) and as if by magic Liquid Technologies have provided 1.1 support in their excellent XML Schema Editor. XML Schema (XSD) 1.1 was given W3C Recommendation status in April 2012, so do Microsoft intend to add support for 1.1 validation in .Net 5?I’m not sure this will happen anytime soon. The reason I say this is that they would need to add support for XSLT 2.0 in order to add the ability to define assertions against the document (see summary of XSD 1.1).
