Hotmail working again
I'm not sure why or for how long, but I am able to access my Hotmail account via Outlook again. I haven't seen any announcements of a change in policy. I haven't received one of the free upgrades to 250mb either.

I signed up to be a BzzAgent today so that I can review and spread the buzz about Tom Peters new book. From their site: BzzAgent is a network of volunteer brand evangelists who participate in Word-of-Mouth (WOM) campaigns. It is a community of communicators. It is a no-obligation, no-nonsense, and no-pressure type of situation. And most importantly ... it’s a fun gig. BzzAgent is the coolest reality marketing experience you'll ever take part in. I'm just reviewing the site now, it looks pretty ......

Looks like I won't be using Hotmail

One of the things I really liked about Outlookk 2003 was the fact that I could look at all of my e-mail accounts, including my Hotmail account, in one place. Today I started receiving a message that connecting to Hotmail via Outlook (or Outlook Express) requires a subscription. Nope, ain't gonna happen. I won't be using that account anymore, so don't you either.

K.C. Area User Group meetings this week
Two user groups in the Kansas City area will be holding their monthly meetings this Thursday (11/11/04). The locations are close enough you can attend both of them if you like (I'm usually just a little late for the start of the VFP meeting). Drop me a note or give me a call if you want to get together before or after the meetings. You can find more information about the SQL meeting here, and the Visual Foxpro meeting here ......

SPOT Movie Channel now available
The movies channel  is now available for your SPOT watch. I have been waiting for this channel ever since I purchased my watch. I just set up my theatres (I set up 4 that I regularly visit) and it hasn't downloaded to my watch yet. I'm interested to see how the navigation is structured. Once my watch is updated, I'll see if I can get some decent photos to post.

Thou shalt dress for success (and assimilation)
Found this great dress code via Don Box. Working for a company like this must be great. You don't have to wonder about how many times to chew your food, how to select your friends, how many minutes you can take off for a funeral, etc. All you have to do is look up the 50 page description in the manual and do what you are told. And I bet if you get to be a manager, you get to go to the most wonderful meetings ......

Phone Update
I went to the T-mobile kiosk at the local mall and they gave me a new SIM card (I had an old VoiceStream card). This took care of the issue of the phone thinking it was in roaming mode. Then, after making a call to T-mobile, (the guys in the mall weren't familiar with the data services) to obtain the name of the access point, everything is up and running. Now I can get cramps in my fingers on my tiny keyboard and finish ruining my eye-sight on the tiny screen. Actually, for a tiny display, it really ......
