Blogs I Read

Learned about Google's new SMS service via Scott Hanselman's blog. This service allows you to do things like search Google using your phone by sending a text message. The results will be sent back to you as one or more text messages. I haven't been a big "texter" but this seems like it could be a pretty useful service.   I experienced very acceptable response times when playing around with it this afternoon. For instance, I'm getting pretty thirsty and need to know where to find some beer in my neighborhood. I sent a text message, beer 66219,  to Google (46645), and I received two replies listing some local establishments willing to help quench my thirst in under 20 seconds.

I used Google SMS for comparison shopping. But, did not find the information useful at all. No mention of whether product is used, new of refurbished. Also, only two merchants. I looked around and found Koffee-Break SMS services very useful. They offer so may services and return more sensible information. Plus, they are also available worldwide.
