Hi,

We might have used udls connections in DTS package and forgot to delete unused ones.  This might happen when we copy existing DTS package and modify the udls by editing them and creating new connections. This would pile up a list of unused connections in the DTS package. This tip explains how to delete these unused udl connections.

  1. Create a new UDL connection by dragging it from the task window.
  2. Instead of creating new connection click on existing connection and select the unused one from the dropdown which you want to delete.
  3. After selecting 'Ok' to the task, immediately delete that task. This would delete the connection too.

HTH.
