It is great to see Damir blogging here! I had the chance to meet Damir at TechEd in Amsterdam and get to talk with him about all of his contributions to community in Europe. They are working on some great things with INETA Europe and other community efforts like Codezone. I am glad that the blogging (in English) has begun so that we all can get a first hand account of what is going on...
It is great to see everyone involved in the Imagine Cup excited about the event! Everyone from students like Elisa to our execs like Soma are counting down the days. I am too...but first I have to close on a house, go to TechEd in Amsterdam and finish my last in person masters class.
I guess I have TechEd on the brain today. For those of you who know me, you won't be surprised to hear me pointing out some great opportunities for women at TechEd. First is Julie Lerman's Birds of a Feather session, time and place TBA. Women Who Code : TechEd Edition This will be an opportunity to continue conversations begun at PDC as well as the TechEd 2004 Women in I.T. Luncheon. Meet other women who are programmers and discover that you are not, in fact, an alien! Chat about our visibility in...
People seem to want to know which TechEd events I will have the pleasure of attending. I will be in San Diego and my calendar is getting tight - so if you want to meet with me let me know soon. I will be in Sao Paulo in July and I can't wait to meet the devs in LATAM who have a ton of great energy and momentum going! I am also part of the team that runs the Imagine Cup and if you don't know what that is, you should! Especially if you are a student. The Imagine Cup Finals are taking place in Brazil...
Another cool thing at TechEd - it just seems packed with interesting things and fun too this year - many of the best authors in the .NET community will be taking over one of the developer team's cabanas on Tuesday, May 25th from 5:00 - 6:15 pm. It will be a great chance to ask them some questions about their topics of expertise, writing a book or get some free consulting (kidding). It will be a casual chance to follow up on a question from a session or ask about anything that has you stumped. I know...
Dave announced it here. Alex Homer and Dave Sussman will be at TechEd - we are even working on some fun stuff for our booth (Sams). We all hope to see you there
I added a photo from TechEd '03 of the INETA clan out at the developer party to my photo gallery. More photos to come as I clean up my machine and the galleries feature is working
