Instead of discontinuing Delphi and its other IDE dev tools, Borland is spinning off/selling the IDE tools.

Will this ensure a future for Delphi or is it the first step in a desupport? Will it make any difference? And who would/could be the best buyer to continue the toolset? Could they release it into Oopen Source like TurboPower did to their Delphi component set?
