I got a new job as a Senior Developer here in Wichita. Yea!!
My company heavily uses Indian outsourcing for the "grunt" programming work, actually most of the programming work in Delphi and C#.Net. My job is to manage the process and overall assign tasks to the outsourced resources, setup coidng standards, do code reviews, research new tools, and make recommendations. If we need to add new functionality or features, such as localization or report translation, it is my job to research the possible options for doing so and to make a recommendation on direction.
This is very interesting moving from a primary developer position. Now I am not the primary focal point for doing the development work. Very interesting challenges.
