My Internet Footprint
Microsoft posting suggested that potential employers may do just such a Google search to see what you are like, perhaps glean some info on your character that they may not see in a formal interview. Since Geeks with Blogs shows up in Google, it is part of this "footprint".
Surprisingly, because of this I find myself blogging significantly less. Part of this is because I don't want to be the 201st person to gush about the release date of Visual Studio. But can it also be because I have become self conscious about my Internet Footprint? I can't exactly blab about my job because it might be seen as negative to potential employers.
Of course, my last post on Intelligent Design is guaranteed to offend someone.
