April Developer session and Anjana...

Sunday, June 20, 2004 8:10 PM

The april developer session of mugh took place at Infotech Enterprises office at Madhapur. All credit goes to RajaShekhar from Infotech and a core member at MUGH. He is a top poster at Experts-Exchange and a MSDN Community Star.

I did a talk at the meet about how to evaluate performance in a web application. My concentration was to deliver some thoughts which basically deal with how to evaluate and base line performance on a web application and not related to performance optimizations though I could not help myself and spoke a bit about that too.

Coincidentally I had a few Java enthusiasts coming in for the presentation and I having come from a Java J2EE background could help them out too. This I believe is a good sign that I could manage to take questions from a competitive technology stack and work upon answering queries which had more relevancy to the work they used to do on JSP, Servlets and things like that.

I also was happy for the fact that our UG sessions are getting interesting enough that people of cross technology platforms are also interested in participating. Now we are going somewhere. I essentially believe that there is so much information which is available with us developers that such situations for cross polination of ideas is essential.

The april developer session apart from my presentation also included a session by Vivek on Virtual PC.

[edit] I had hosted the presentation online you can find it here

This was also the day when I had picked up a fight with Anjana. ofcourse its long time over. The issue was she didnt make up her mind whether she is gonna attend that meet or not and what basically was on her mind is something which I am not in any way able to comprehend but it just pissed me off so badly that I decided to stop interacting with her once and for all.

Later on that evening she turned up for that session and I was back to normalcy. She has couple of weeks back joined the company which I work for as a developer. Welcome Anjana !

btw she started blogging but seems like she has lost track of it. May be we need to have a fight again.
