Sharepoint - buggy Quick Launch bar?

Has anyone seen this behavior?
 
In a subsite I create a new document library (the problem will also happen with an old DL).
I ensure that Display in Quick Launch bar has Yes selected.
Click Ok, return to site's Home page.
-->The new DL is displayed in the Quick Launch Bar.
Refresh the page, or navigate away from the site and return
-->The new DL is NOT displayed in the Quick Launch Bar
 
It gets worse. If I return to that DL's Modify settings and Change General Settings I can select Display in QLB=No, click OK, again Change General Settings, select Display in QLB = Yes....
 
Now again the DL will appear in the QLB for exactly one page load. Refresh and it's gone....

I've seen this as well - not just for document libraries but all Documents and Lists?

Can't find any fix, or even acknowledgement from MS?

Are you sure there's nothing being stored in your cache? I haven't seen this problem?

Yeah, I have seen this problem too ... doesn't seem to be appearing (I have pretty much a standard install) - is there another WebPart that you need to add to the page perhaps? I would welcome feedback at my website (don't want to post e-mail on here) if anyone finds out about this ...

Yeah, here's the MS Support article on it:

They seem to be saying "Well, it just kinda doesn't work."

You can go into the page via FrontPage and insert the links manually. Had this issue on one of the WSS sites under our SharePoint Portal. It seemed to be an isolated incident.

I blame solar flares.

Several of my links just disappeared from the Quick Launch Bar. I re0inserted them using FrontPage; this worked for two lists, but not for anything else (it looks fine in FrontPage). I tried the solution in the MS Support article; it didn't work.

Any other ideas?

I have this exact problem,
I can fix it using front page but that defeats the purpose of my users creating their own list or DL items,
Has anyone else found a fix or cause?

even i am facing same issue.......I can do it using FP2003 but that wont be the appropriate solution. This will not let user create lists/libraries and have them under quick launch

If anybody has fixed it...plz let us know
