Now here's a thought.....

We can save energy by switching search engines to Blackle.com because it uses a black background rather than the normal Google white. It is powered by Google but just uses black as the background!!!!

Do we believe this saves energy??? Thoughts please!

In this day and age it only saves if you still use a CRT. And even then it only saves a miniscule amount of energy, not even worth worrying about. Saves nothing for LCD displays. But the story doesn't end there -- when OLED panels finally come around, it will save some juice.
