Doesn't seem that amazing:

m=s+21
m=24+5*s

Taking out m entirely,

s+21=24+5*s
s=3+5*s
s=-3/5
s=-0.6 years old, which is 219 days before birth, which means he's about half an inch long, and attached to a uterine wall.

Although I haven't looked up the answer, so maybe I've missed something amazing here!

m =s+21 ... 1
m+6 =5(s+6) ... 2

substituting 1 in 2
s+21+6 = 5s+30
4s = 27-30 = -3
s = -¾
which means three quarters of a year or nine months before birth. this again means the baby is in the process of conception. mandy's husband is with her and they just had sex.

@lorin
your math's got to be the worst. how could you reduce -
s=3+5*s to s=-3/5 ? when it clearly says 5s-s = -3
or 4s = -3? so your conclusion s = -3/5 is absolutely wrong. check my previus comment.
