It's just past the first of December, but I've been busy and it's now time to recognize devs that have a large number of posts in Silverlight Cream. Ground Rules I pick what posts are on the blog Only posts that go in the database are included The author has to appear in SC at least 4 of the 6 months considered I averaged the monthly posts and am only showing Authors with an average greater than 1. Here are the Top Posted Authors at Silverlight Cream for June 1, 2010 through November 30, 2010: It...

Since I'm working from homw 3/4 of the time now, I needed to straighten out my home 'office' at least a little ... I needed to move the party in there and one of the things killing that was a longish table with two large nice but old-school monitors hooked up to the XP box under the table. I needed to scrunch them over so I could make room for my laptop and the more I thought about it, the more I wanted those two monitors to be hooked up to my development machine: the laptop. Enter MaxiVista. Using...
I can't pass up passing this along even though it's not Silverlight or WP7 or Lightswitch or ... One thing I've been dealing with is the 'Edit top 200' rows thing in SQL Server 2008, and have just been dealing with it for a few weeks since I uninstalled everything else in favor of this full-up. Well, Senthil Kumar has instructions on how to modify that sucker... I didn't even *think* to look around... figured it was baked in... awesome post, Senthil! SQL Server 2008 – Change Edit Top 200 Rows and...
I've been home since Saturday, but today (Monday) is my first day back in the 'real world' after spending time breathing the rarified air shared amongst the attendees of the 2010 MVP Summit. Very simply put, the Summit brings together the MVPs and the Product Team members for the area of competency in which you're involved. There's some picking of brains both ways, and a bit of roadmap discusion. Beyond that, it's a world-wide networking opportunity to see all those folks you only see once or twice...
I don't know by what magic this happened, but not only is Thumbtack back online, but everything appears to be intact. As my young dev friend Brian would say: WOOT! Since I didn't get any warm and fuzzies from anyone I tried to contact about this, I have no idea about the what/why/how long... as for me and mine, I'm scraping all this into OneNote if it's still alive when I can get it and OneNote both up at the same time -- i.e. not from Work :( I'll use it but I won't be an idiot and not have a backup...
I threw this out on Twitter the other day, and maybe I'm the only person that has been using it because I didn't get any response :( I first posted to Live Labs Customer care about not being able to generate a new link a month ago and haven't gotten any response. Now today I can't seem to log into Customer Care for ThumbTack. The Thumbtack site is just a blank page... guess shame on me for not pulling my links out of that when it started acting hinky a month ago, but the promo page is still advertising...
This isn't necessarily Silverlight, but it's important to bloggers, so I'm using that tag. If you're not using Grafitti and don't care to read my rant, just delete! I was using the free version of Grafitti for our Phoenix Silverlight User Group. I really didn't feel I had the time or inclination to write yet another site, and nobody was jumping up and down asking to do it for me :) Notice I said 'was'. During the Silverlight FireStarter yesterday, I wanted to Twitter that we also have a User Group...
I suppose in the back of my mind I wondered how long that would last… I just noticed tonight there’s a banner that says it’s shutting down October 1. Following the rule of not putting all your eggs into one basket… or at least a basket you don’t own, I’ve never stopped stuffing tagged links into my tag cloud at WynApse.com. Every Silverlight link goes out on the @SilverlightNews twitter feed, and then gets posted in my SilverlightCream blog posts. Those links are aggregated and tagged multiple ways...
